In my email today, a news update on Wailea Christmas activities from the Wailea Community Association.... here are a few of my favorites!
THIS MORNING (Nov 27th) at 11am, Santa arrives at the Shops at Wailea accompanied by Classic Cruisers and Street Bikers United (they will ride down South Kihei Road and Wailea Alanui. Now there's something you don't see every day! There will be Santa pictures at Shops at Wailea from 10am-8pm daily.
December 4 5:30-6pm Tree Lighting Celebration at the Fairmont Kea Lani (hotel lobby) - this is the second largest Christmas tree in the State of Hawaii
December 6 5:30pm Tree lighting Ceremony at the Grand Wailea (the ad says over eight miles of white lights line the driveway to the Grand Wailea)
December 24 12pm Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves arrive at Polo Beach via outrigger canoe
December 31 midnight - ten minute fireworks show off Wailea beach (they will be lit from a barge 700 ft off the beach).
13th Annual Keiki Kalikimaka Toy drive - happening now. Drop off new unwrapped toys in the collection box at the Wailea Fire Station (home of Maui's only red fire truck). Educational toys are most needed. All toys will be distributed with The Friends of the Children's Justice Center to 25 human service agencies here on Maui.
