Our Palms at Wailea remodel

After 7 weeks, our remodel at Palms at Wailea is almost complete!! The contractor and his guys are putting the finishing touches on everything, tomorrow Cindy and Beth go in and tackle the big clean. Yep, everything is covered in a lot of dust. Fortunately Sig and I brought two truckloads of stuff home to keep dust-free (in happy news - that all goes back to the condo this week!!).

A big thank you to our contractor Armando (ADX Construction) and our friend and interior designer Joelle Keller for her design help and oversight. :)

the main bathroom shower
the ensuite has been redone - looking over from the bedroom area - love the new cabinets and the privacy screen
giant ensuite walk-in shower with a wall bench
less glamorous - we also replaced the water heater
Over the next few days the condo will be hopping with activity. Lifestyle Maui is delivering a few items for the bedroom, Jordan Services will be shampooing the sofa, dining chairs and a few random upholstered items we're bringing over from our Kihei Surfside condo remodel. Island Window Coverings is installing the new window coverings, someone will be washing the windows (our usual window washer is swamped this week, so it may actually be Sig and I). I have a few last-minute items to pick up, such as bedside throw-rugs (we now have gorgeous tile throughout the condo). We better have it all ready by Thursday because then Steve Strand Photography takes the professional pictures for the website. Friday our guests arrive!

What has me the most excited about this renovation? You may laugh. It's the big white baseboards. We have beautiful wide baseboards throughout. When we bought the condo it came without baseboards. We've been told by several handimen and even floor people that they are often not done in Hawaii. But it's bothered me. I know they'll get banged up and scuffed (be careful!) - but they sure make the condo look polished!

Can't wait to get this condo cleaned and ready to go again!
