Hurricane Guillermo

Hurricane Guillermo is currently tracking towards Hawaii. It is expected to make landfall in Hawaii Wednesday/Thursday.

The storm is expected to continue to weaken over the next few days and is expected to be a tropical storm once it reaches Hawaii. Tropical storm still means there can be strong winds (39-73mph), rain and thunder storms and storm surge. Please check local media for further updates. Be prepared for potential power and water outages.

Note: It is very important to stay out of the ocean during and following a storm. Rain washes debris into the ocean while strong winds can whip up the ocean, changing underwater currents. If the water appears murky, stay out for sure, swimming with debris is never a good thing and sharks can be attracted to it. To be safe, check with a life guard before going out.
