I am ashamed to admit, we have never tried Manoli's Pizza Company. We've heard good things about it, we know the owner through some joint kids activities, but we've never tried it.
Manoli's is the new club house for the Wailea Blue Golf Course, just across the street (up the hill) from the Shops at Wailea. It's an open-air restaurant with a bar (and the obligatory TV screens) and adjacent restaurant terrace with ocean view in the distance.
We arrived just as happy hour was ending and ran into some friends. Naturally, I had to check out what they were eating - and the one dish in particular looked amazing. Lucky me, I found a meal-sized version of it on the dinner menu.
|The view from our table - we were under the roof which helped with the sun, and yet open air. Beautiful.|
It was the Chicken Scallopini 'Picatta Style'. I am still dreaming of this dish. It was fantastic. The rest of the family ordered pizza. They have regular crust 14" pizza or gluten-free 12" pizza. Our family had the regular crust, and it was good.
For desert we as a family shared the Holy Manoli - a large freshly baked home-made chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauce and oreo cookie crumbles. We have two serious desert lovers in our family, and even so we as a family were unable to finish it. We slowly rolled ourselves out of the restaurant towards our car. I probably should have walked home - what a fantastic dinner.

We will be back.
