May 16th is Maui Brewers Festival

May 16th the Maui Arts and Cultural Center hosts the 7th annual Maui Brewers Festival. That's right - drinking beer is cultured and classy. Well, I'm not sure how cultured this event is, but I've heard this event is a lot of fun! The Maui Arts and Cultural Center hosts it as a fundraiser for its community arts and recreation programs. See, you can drink beer for a good cause!

So.... if you're on island and looking to do something different, expand your beer horizon and generally have a good time, check it out! Tickets are $60/person if ordered online, $70 at the door. If you are the designated driver, you can get in for $50 (in advance, $60 at the door). Try beers from 37 different craft breweries, pupu (appetizers) from 23 local restaurants, live music etc.

Can't make it? Check out the recently opened Kihei location of the Maui Brewing Company in the Maui Research and Technology Park on Lipoa. Have you seen their current limited release beer, the Lorenzini Double IPA? I just saw it on their website - the can has a shark on it!!

Maui Brewing Company's limited release beer. Seriously cool!
