Have you heard of the Katinas? This is a contemporary Christian vocal band of five brothers, originally from American Samoa. Many people in Hawaii are of Samoan ancestry too.
The Katinas will be performing at a fundraising concert on Thursday, March 12th at 7pm for Maui's second annual Camp Agape. Camp Agape is a Christian camp for children of incarcerated parents. Many of Hawaii's inmates are being held in mainland prisons far away from their families and loved ones. This camp is meant to encourage their kids and bring good influences into their lives.
Tickets are on sale at the Kihei Christian Bookstore or online for $20 general admission.
