Enjoy a 'ukulele weekend!

Love listening to - or perhaps even playing - the 'ukulele? How about checking out this weekend's FREE 'ukulele event at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center in Kahului?

FREE? that's right.

Saturday from 10am-12pm (registration starts at 9am) is a free 'ukulele workshop for all ages, from child to adult. It's designed for beginners to intermediate with the only requirement that you can play the C, F and G7 chords. Oh, and bring along your 'ukulele! Don't have one - well, you can pick one up for cheap at most touristy shops (ABC, Whalers), Maui Memories (Wailea Gateway Plaza), or if you are a musician try Bounty Music in Kahului. Costco currently has a 'concert uke' for just under $100 including carrying case and tuner.

Then on Sunday at 1pm check out another free event - the annual Maui 'Ukulele Festival, also at the MACC. There will also be made-in-Hawaii crafts and yummy food for sale.

Curious? Check the MACC website (see above links) for more information!
