I came across a review of Maui's malasadas. My first ever blog entry two years ago was about malasadas, Portuguese donuts that are made fresh while you wait (and taste best eaten right then and there!)
This particular malasadas review was written by the people who put out the Maui restaurant review book every year: Top Maui Restaurants. Hey - reviewing restaurants and food is their business, so we best pay attention!
Have a read - and be sure to try some! By the way, you can get malasadas in Kihei (without driving all the way to Zippy's in Kahului) - check out the Home Maid Cafe in Azeka - they make them fresh while you wait Monday-Saturday but only before 10am. On that note - I think our family is overdue for some more malasadas... mmmm....
