Flossie

Today I'm busy prepping home and condos in preparation for tropical storm #Flossie. Flossie is due to hit the islands Monday and Tuesday. This is my first experience with a tropical storm on Maui. This could be interesting (and hopefully mild).

If you are on Maui - please check the news and County website for more information. Prepare for potentially high winds, a lot of rain (flooding, mudslides, contaminated drinking water) and potential power outages.

Flossie approaches the Hawaiian Islands
Please don't go into the water when it's raining or there's flooding. With all the rain, there will be a lot of run-off, bringing with it food for the sharks (dead animals), oil from roadways and other unpleasant things. Best to stay out of the water, go shopping (if the weather and roads allow), read a book, watch a movie (if there's no power outage), check out the Maui Ocean Center...
