Can you believe we're nearing Christmas again??

Well, the turkey left-overs from Thanksgiving have been eaten (in our house at least), and people are decorating for Christmas. A number of the houses in our neighborhood are decorated with lights - though with power costing what it does (38 cents/kwh these days), you can hardly blame people for calling 'bah humbug' and skipping the lights. The kids keep asking when we're setting up our Christmas tree - maybe this weekend, I need to listen to some more Christmas music on the radio to get in the spirit of things.

I did hear the Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas song today at the bank of all places - ah.... no thanks!

I've been getting lots of inquiries as to Christmas events on Maui - you'll have to wait a bit yet, most of that information isn't out yet, but yes, I will report on it!

In the mean time - you may enjoy this: the Maui Pops Orchestra is putting on their 'Holiday Pops' concert this Sunday (December 2nd) at 3pm in the Castle Theater at the MACC (Maui Arts and Cultural Center) in Kahului. You can get your tickets at the MACC box office or on their website.

On Thursday December 6th at 7:30pm you can catch the Katinas, also at the Castle Theater. They will be performing songs from their latest album, Collage, but also from their Christmas album, Sounds of Christmas. Tickets available at the MACC box office and MACC website.
